Manage links in a project
If your project contains links to other documents, you can manage them in the Project Data Links window. To it, click on 
on the Palantir tab on the ribbon. The window contains a table with information about existing links, options to set the update preference, and buttons to perform various operations (see the tables below).
The main table contains information about links which currently exist in the opened project. All columns are explained in the table below.

| Source | Type of the linked document. |
| Document Name | Name of the linked document. |
| Data Type | Type of the linked data. |
| Status | Condition of the link. |
| Currency | Currency of the linked data. |
| Periodicity | Periodicity of the linked data. |
| Variable Link Name | Name of the linked variable. |
| Link Direction | Input if the data are pulled from the linked document into the project. Output if the data are pushed out of the project into the linked document. |
The radio buttons in the top right corner of the window determine how frequently the selected link should be updated. You can set up different preferences for different links. The options are explained in the table below.

| Auto update on document open only | Links are updated automatically when the project is opened. |
| Auto update on open and calculation | Links are updated automatically when the project is opened or calculated. |
| Auto update on result set calculation only | Links are updated automatically when the project is calculated as part of a Result Set. |
| Prompt on document open | You will be asked if you would like to update the links when you open the project. |
| Manual update | Links are updated only when you open the Project Data Links window and click on Update All Link Values or Update Values. |
The buttons allow you to perform various operations with links (see the table below).

| Update All Link Values | Updates the values of all linked variables. |
| Update Values | Updates the value of the currently selected link. |
| Check Link | Checks if the link is functioning. |
| Break Link | Destroys the currently selected link. The link will be removed but the latest data will remain in the project. |
| Change Source | Opens the window where you can select a different link source. |
| Open Source | Opens the linked document. |
| Close | Closes the Project Data Links window. |
If you check the Show dialog when project is opened box, then the Project Data Links window will be displayed when you open the project.
